Building a Force For Good
It began with a phone call in 2007 - a friend’s cancer diagnosis that became the spark for something far greater.
In the early 2000s, our founders were just out of college and beginning their journey in the wine world. They watched as countless grocery store brands “went pink” each October for Breast Cancer Awareness, only to return to business as usual come November. It raised a simple yet powerful question: What if giving back wasn’t a campaign, but a core value?
Co-founder Jake Kloberdanz took that question to heart. When a close friend was diagnosed with cancer, he put the idea of changing the world through wine into motion. Alongside his fellow co-founders (Tiffany Wojtkiewicz, Tom Leahy, Kristen Shroyer, Brandon Hall, Sarah McPeake) they began sourcing wine from Napa and Sonoma and selling it throughout Southern California, where the early seeds of ONEHOPE were first planted.
As the mission grew, so did the wine, evolving from humble beginnings into an award-winning portfolio crafted with precision, purpose, and care. Each vintage refined, each blend more expressive, until the wines themselves became as remarkable as the cause they support.
What started as a grassroots effort soon became a ripple effect - wine tastings that raised funds, sparked connection, and inspired others to do the same.
A movement took root - one glass, one gathering, one purpose at a time.
Today, ONEHOPE is one of the largest direct-to-consumer wineries in the world. And together, we’ve donated over $11 million to causes both local and global.
Planting Roots in Napa Valley
In 2014, we turned to our community to help us crowd-fund a vineyard on the iconic Rutherford Bench - officially planting roots in the heart of Napa Valley.
With a vested winery permit and architectural plans by the legendary Howard Backen, we broke ground in 2018. By 2020, the doors to ONEHOPE Winery opened wide - welcoming dreamers, doers, and believers in a better way forward.

Through the ONEHOPE Foundation, we fund organizations expanding access to clean water, hunger relief, health, and education - while also supporting local nonprofits across the country.
