Few summer desserts capture the season quite like a Blackberry Peach Galette. Made with juicy peaches, sweet blackberries, and flaky puff pastry, this rustic fruit galette is simple to prepare and perfect for warm weather gatherings. Whether you're serving it for a backyard dinner party or a casual weekend dessert, this easy peach and blackberry galette celebrates the best flavors of summer.
At Estate 8, we look forward to the blackberry season every year. A row of wild blackberry bushes lines our vineyard, and by early July the berries transform from vibrant pink to deep black. Within weeks, the vines are overflowing with some of the sweetest blackberries imaginable. One of our favorite summer traditions is taking an evening stroll through the property to gather them. Paired with ripe peaches and wrapped in buttery puff pastry, they become the centerpiece of this simple seasonal dessert. Served alongside a chilled glass of our Vintner Collection California Moscato, whose notes of nectarine, candied lemon, and orange blossom mirror the fruit-forward flavors of the galette, it's a pairing made for warm summer evenings.

Wine Pairing: Vintner Collection California Moscato
The sweet stone fruit flavors in this Blackberry Peach Galette make it a natural pairing for our Vintner Collection California Moscato. Aromas of orange blossom and citrus zest lead into notes of nectarine, candied lemon, and bright citrus, complementing both the peaches and blackberries without overwhelming them.
The wine's refreshing sweetness enhances the ripe fruit flavors in the galette, while its lively citrus character adds balance to every bite. Served well chilled alongside a warm slice of galette and blackberry whipped cream, it's a pairing that feels made for summer afternoons and long evenings shared with friends and family.
